Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Alongside them we use local storage, which works similarly but keeps information in your browser rather than sending it back to us with every request. Most of what we store is local storage rather than cookies — your cart is the clearest example. This policy covers both, and where it says “cookies” it means both unless stated otherwise.
The three categories we use
Necessary — always on
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They keep you signed in, remember what is in your cart and where you want it delivered, secure the checkout, and protect against abuse. Without them you could not place an order.
Google Maps falls in this category. We use it to search for and confirm your delivery address, and it sets its own cookies as soon as the address picker loads. Because we cannot take a delivery order without an address, we treat Maps as necessary rather than optional.
Analytics — your choice
These help us understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are slow, where people drop out of checkout — so we can improve it. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights and Google Analytics, and they only load if you accept analytics.
Marketing — your choice
These measure our advertising — which ads brought someone to us, and whether a visit became an order. We use Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel and Yandex Metrica, loaded through Google Tag Manager.
None of them load at all unless you accept something on this banner, and the advertising ones load only if you accept marketing specifically. Accepting analytics but not marketing gives us the site measurement and none of the advertising ones. Accepting neither means no request is made to Google, Meta or Yandex from your visit.

Third parties that set cookies
- Google — Maps and address lookup, and Google sign-in if you use it. Also Google Analytics if you accept analytics, and Google Ads and Tag Manager if you accept marketing.
- Supabase — the sign-in session that keeps you logged in.
- Vercel — hosting, plus analytics and performance monitoring if you accept analytics.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising measurement, if you accept marketing.
- Yandex — advertising measurement for our campaigns on Yandex, if you accept marketing. Yandex processes this data outside the UAE.
- Network International — the secure page where card payments are entered. Their cookies are governed by their own policy.
Changing your choices
When you first visit, we ask whether to enable analytics and marketing. You can change your answer at any time using the shield icon in the corner of the page, which reopens the preferences panel.
Your choices are stored on the device you made them on, so if you use Pechka from a phone and a laptop you will be asked on each. Clearing your browser data also clears them, and we will ask again.
Separately, your browser lets you view, delete and block cookies for any site. Blocking necessary cookies will stop ordering, sign-in and checkout from working.
Marketing messages — email, SMS and WhatsApp — are a different thing entirely and are controlled in your account settings, not here. See our Marketing Policy.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our systems change, and the “last updated” date above will change with it. Personal information collected through cookies is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
